Maryanne Jordan represents District 17 in the Idaho Senate where she is the Minority Caucus Chair. She was appointed to the Senate in March of 2015 and elected in November of 2016. Her current committee assignments are Health & Welfare, Resources & Environment, and Agricultural Affairs. She has served on the Boise City Council from 2003 to 2018. Prior to council she served five years on the Boise City Planning & Zoning Commission. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from San Jose State University.
Maryanne and her husband have been married for 35 years. For many years they ran a successful small business, Cop Shop Etc. in Boise. She has two stepchildren and five grandchildren.
